but I wonder if the money was given to him after his junior year and he was leaning toward entering the draft. I'm sure he had conversations with agents during that time period and this may have been that agent's way of trying to secure him as a client. Then when he realized he was not going to go as high as he had hoped, he decided to come back. Either way, it doesn't really matter but I'd be curious to know the context.

were made in March 2016, right after our season had ended and right when he was contemplating going pro. If he had gone pro after his junior year, this would not be an issue. Him coming back may get us into some trouble for last year (seriously what can they do, vacate a disappointing season?), but I can't see any big-time penalties coming as I'm guessing the coaching staff will not and cannot be implicated as having any knowledge.

trouble after going 17-16, (6-12), but it reminds me of the old joke:

The NCAA got so mad at Alabama for cheating, they put UAB on 4 years probation

At this point, I dont think ANYONE can predict what those maroons in the NCAA will do or how they'll interpret their own rules.

I was holding out hope they would have to vacate enough home court victories over us to get us back under the Brown-Princeton record. But the NCAA washed their hands of the opportunity for justice in that so who knows?
