Anybody other than me here old enough to remember back when Frank Gifford kept referring to a player in the game having gone to" No-ne" college? Finally, Dandy Don had had all he could stand, and informed him, on the air, "Frank, its NONE. He didn't go to college." :)

Dandy Don was hilarious in the booth. You could tell when a lopsided score had him bored. He would start singing Willie Nelson, "Turn out the lights, the party's over."

The obvious friction between he and Howard Cosell is one of the things that made MNF the happening it used to be. Note that I used the past tense there.
