Whether or not this is true, if James Franklin doesn't make a move in the next day or two, he's staying at Penn State.

Why leave Penn State, the best program by far in the northeast, for FSPU, a dumpster fire lately?

1. Mo Money
2. Better weather
3. No state income tax
4. All you have to do is improve a little and you're the 2nd best team in the conference.

PSU soon headed to Rose Bowl. Franklin is not leaving for sub-par FSU program -- he is bumping his salary scale.

This makes sense in that...he can’t win a Natty at Penn State ... it’s possible but not likely...he can be very very very good for a long time but winning the Natty will be a tall task ... one of the best coaches ever only did it a time or two and that’s when offenses were 3 yards and a cloud of dust...

Winning at a very high level at FSU and the ability to win a Natty in the college games current format, especially in the ACC, is real!!!

If anybody develops a good program at FSU or Miami then they can basically go 10-2/11-1 by scheduling right and all they have to do is get over the Clemson hump every now and then and they are in the playoffs...no other programs in the ACC have the same type of advantage, recruiting wise as those two have!!!

It just takes the right person at the right time with the right energy...Franklin has energy and is a good recruiter...the dude from Minnesota could do wonders at either program...

I'd like to see Fleck do it at one school for a few years, not just 2-3. Can he continue rowing the boat at Minnesota?

He can be good and competitive but winning 8-10 games a year over and over ... no he can’t at Minnesota...scheduling matters and the fact that his division is down for the past 5 years matters but no...it’s not attainable long term at Minnesota...

My brother is a PSU alum and despite the results,

most PSU fans/alums are not big Franklin fans. They tell me over and over that his in-game decisions and game plans are horrendous.

If he does leave, look for PSU to go hard after Ruhle, a PSU alum.
