Question about CB for you gurus

Do our corner backs play both boundary and field or do they just predominantly play one or the other and switch sides when necessary.

Depends on the corner. Some can do both, some are better

suited for one v. the other. The simple explanation...Boundary needs to be physical in the run game. Field needs to have the best coverage skill as they have more ground to cover. We have guys doing both and some that focus on one v. other.

Depends based on opponent and how dominant the CB...

Sometimes boundary and field matter, sometimes it is best corner vs best receiver, usually your right corner will see more action than your left because most right-handed QBs prefer to throw to their left, especially deep patterns.

Most POCKET throws are to the left.. most roll outs are to the right, throwing across your body is a big no-no unless you can throw a ninety mile per hour strike.
