Totally. I was hoping they’d be like the first couple years. Pretty decent rankings but uga at 5? I’d understand bama better. Uga scraped by a garbage sec least. I could see them being the 13th. ND-albarn uga, about even.

I hate UGA, but everybody else lost 2+ games. Who's supposed to be #5? They did beat ND, FL, and AUB, which is more than any other 2-loss team can say. The loss to SC was putrid. Honestly, the committee should have wrote "who cares" from #5 thru #25

Good point about who cares but if you hold true to eye test then uga doesn’t hold water. The big prize is losing to the coots at home.

I posted what I did...but how in the heck they beat UF and Auburn is beyond me.
I hate Bama almost as much as I hate UGA, but looking at the list, I think #13 Bama would beat 4-11 easily on a neutral field. And Bama is down this year IMO. I think Bama would beat OSU. And they would probably beat Auburn if they played them again.
Definitely not arguing for Bama to be in the playoff, just shows the huge drop off from the top.
But yep, based on what actually happened (Ws and Ls) not sure who you’d put above UGA.

I'd put Oregon Pac12 Champion ahead of them.And I agree on Bama except I'm not confidant enough they'd beat Oh St. But the rest of em sure thing.

Bama was down this year. Can’t understand the Auburn loss and the drop off in defense. Haven’t followed them much and have no idea what they lost.

It is the lack of consistency. The CFP committee has a habit of punishing teams for bad losses. An 8 loss Coot team beating you at home should have dropped them mich further.
They then get beat raced by LSU and drop 1 spot???
Does the committee do anything other than let ANC/ESPN/Disney conglomerate tell them where to rank teams?

They really don’t seem to like dropping a team for losing a conference championship game. Virginia lost by 45 and only dropped one spot.
