Serious question: are these true committable offers? How does it work this early on for a 2020 player? Do the coaches say, "you have an offer based on the following conditions"?

with taking as many as 30 I'm not sure why he wants to go about it slow?
I know its more about the character and the fit than the stars but I would have to think that we will have to start filling those holes soon.
My only thought would be with the new spring official visits he is hoping to use those before taking guys. Its not a bad thought process. You take a commit from a kid in January and February only for him to take OV in April and then decommit.
After the Spring OV--I think we see an influx of recruits
