Once the ACC follows the NCAA lead (near certainty), South

Carolina stands to gain. Baseball back in Greenville? Golf to the state? Tennis? There are loads of Championship opportunities that will funnel out.
And the NCAA basketball bid change would provide a good gesture opportunity to shift to Greenville, Columbia or Charleston, not just for this year but beyond. To not have to bid against NC opens the door to more and more (well, until their governor and legislature gets ousted and the law lifted).
This is a fun comeuppance for the Carolina of the North.

With Swoffie... just not so sure

Under his leadership, just not so sure the ACC would follow the NCAA for conference championships. Take away from UNC and tobacco road in general? I'd see it first then believe it.

You should read his statement today, he personally came out

for repealing the law (first time he's done so) e'd set the stage to make it easy for ACC Presidents to pull the championships. GT President is on the NCAA board that pulled the NCAA Championships yesterday.
I don't think the ACC can come out and not do the same.

to the NCAA boycott about the flag he would seem pretty hypocritical not to pull tourneys out of NC.

It's a lot easier to pick on li'l ol' "backward" S.C. than big "progressive" N.C.

Let's move the football championship to Columbia and the 'Roach. Similar size to BoA. Close enough to not inconvenience those who have already purchased tickets. And, throws some love and money to help make up for their bad floods last year. It's the charitable thing to do to help our brothers when they're down.
The ACCCG goes to the proud home of the 1969 ACC champions. Paint Columbia orange. Oh, and beat FSU too first.

And Soffie speaks on ACC following NCAA moves
Sep 13, 2016, 10:21 AM
|
|
David M. Hale ESPN Staff Writer
ACC John Swofford says it is "premature" to comment on moving ACC championship game from North Carolina due to HB2. After the NCAA announced it would relocate all championship games from the state. "The league's longstanding commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion will continue to be a central theme to our discussions," Swofford said. "On a personal note, it's time for this bill to be repealed as it's counter to basic human rights."
Yup.. thought so.

one man's comeuppance is another man's blackmail....

it's so funny to see liberals gloriously revel
in the very same strong-arm tactics
they themselves loudly decried just a generation ago
when such tactics were used by the business elite or other 'conservative' factions.
lol....
people are so morosely uncreative.
people only know how to do two things:
they're either putting someone under the thumb (or stomping them under the boot)
or going on Oprah to tell everyone just how much of a victim they are.
could it be that Rodney King was right all along?

It's funny that South Carolina will stand to benefit from the country's collective rage at that stupid ### flag and North Carolina just digging itself its own ditch from the same shovel.

It's not like SC supports the opposite position, either.
