I attended the 1982 Labor Day game at Athens. I was guilty of wearing orange clothes. Knew better than to open my mouth. A very violent environment. My friend ended up with stitches because someone threw a liquor bottle on her head. Again, 1982. But this experience pales in comparison to my encounters with the LSU fan base after the game in January. Their school president needs to clean up that mess. First time I feared for my life attending a college football game. I have scratched attending the 2026 game at Baton Rouge. I will attend any game in Athens or Columbia.

Although they are 'mid-western', they act more like northerner. They act like they are superior to us Clemson alumni/fans yet have not beaten us in football. They are similar to UAla fans but have nothing on Clemson.
Second is USuC, but they have been quite quiet lately.
LSU is a close third.
