Okay Football Guru's i have a serious question

which has bothered me for a few years.When Watson ran that draw play where the no call on the facemask and we came up just short on the review.Why do we not have a line up and and go for it "fake" play with a foot to go? During such a critical and emotional time of the game, lining up a so if s if to go for it can cause two things.#1 opposing team(Louisville tonight)might burn a critical timeout to get their heads on straight,or #2 possibly jump offsides considering the excitement and adrenaline.We still had 2 timeouts to burn if needed to reset back and punt the ball away.My question is basically why have we never used this type of situation to our advantage? Afterall,these kids are 18-21 years old.

It would probably be too predictable what they were trying

to do because you would need to move the QB under center to give the hard count. Since he's never under center, too obvious.

There are other ways to draw offsides from the shotgun

formation.A RB can go in motion,a TE lined up can stand up and move to opposite side and many other disguises.I know at one time last year we did get under center on a short yardage play.
