Ohio St claims they found out about Chase Young’s issue

The day “after” the Wisconsin game (the hardest game on their schedule). Then, just 2 sit games (during the easiest part of their schedule).

This all seems to be too convenient.

Ohio State AD, Gene Smith said "I want to be clear that the accusations did not come from anyone from Maryland, did not come from anyone from Penn State or any other school in the Big Ten Conference." I am a little confused about this statement. This is supposedly self reported, so why would accusations be from anybody? Is Ohio State in such good standing with their peers that a competitor would tell them instead of the NCAA about a violation?

He was turned in by a fellow player on Ohio State because he was tired of watching him make it rain. They will not say who but I am sure he will be gone soon.
