I think both colleges are fine academically. I don't see a reason to turn academics into a football game like the homers on here who typically did not attend Clemson. lol
I agree it is funny that SC lost to Kentucky four times in a row and you can't quote me saying anything that indicates that I'm a fan of their football team, unless disinterest is proof that I am a 'coot'.

So you think employers look at average SAT score of incoming freshmen at the universities to decide who to hire? I never had an employer ask me what my SAT score was.
Clemson has more STEM majors than USC so the average income is higher as a result.

ok, i question people's intelligence if US News thinks for them. I don't think a magazine has any ability to rank and compare universities to include programs like engineering that they have no expertise in.

If you want to argue Clemson is better because it has a higher percentage of STEM students, I can go along with that. My father earned an electrical engineering degree at USC and he had a good career in it. Any large state university is going to have some good professors.

Plus Clemson has and almost new facility for car engineering that has 3 separate company funding new research. (Toyota, BMW, and Ford but not sure on the ford one might've been a rumor.)

I do think Clemson is more beautiful but it is more beautiful than basically every college. Not many colleges on a large lake near mountains.
I don't think SC has a bad campus for an urban campus. The Horseshoe is a nice college quad.

Well, you've heard it now. I refer to them* as coots, every day.
* For clarification purposes, I generally reserve the coot label for those rabid gamecock fans who continually talk trash and refer to Clemson fans as "taters" yet they themselves struggled to finish HS and never set foot on any college campus with a textbook in hand. I have plenty of friends and coworkers, as well as a few family members, who are USC graduates. For the most part they're much more intelligent, respectful, and wholly "different" from the majority of the mouthbreathing coot fan base.... they get called "#### lovers" playfully  from time to time, but generally I just refer to them as 'Carolina fans." I'll afford them that respect.
