Injuries have been a challenge for the Gamecocks in 2018 as 14 players have been sidelined for the season:

Freshman defensive lineman Tyreek Johnson (ACL tear)
Senior running back Caleb Kinlaw (ACL tear)
Freshman Tavyn Jackson (medical disqualification)
Freshman offensive lineman Jovaughn Gwyn (foot)
Sophomore wide receiver OrTre Smith (knee cap)
Senior linebacker Eldridge Thompson (shoulder)
Graduate transfer safety J.T. Ibe (knee)
Graduate transfer safety Nick Harvey (concussion)
Sophomore defensive back Jamyest Williams (shoulder)

was talking to a very nice coot fan yesterday, he teaches with us, but he is also a realist. He is pissed they brought in 2 senior Grad Transfers Safeties this season who didn't help a bit and aren't recruiting or getting any safety types for next year. He said it amazes him that Dabo knows what he needs and then goes and gets it while it seems the coots offer everyone and take any who will commit regardless of need. He is a very frustrated fan an alumna. I try to empathize but can't find it in my heart to really be sympathetic! lol
