Off season transfers?

The NC game will bring an end to the 2018 season. It's been a good one for us. With the draft coming up, the 2nd signing period, etc. With that comes some questions. Who stays, who goes (draft wise) and off season transfers, who goes?
My thought is Big Dex, Clelin Ferrell will go. I think Simmons, Lamar, Mullen. I think the three of them could go and all be drafted in first 3 rd. Lamar is not a household name but I think he could go as early as mid-1st and several mock drafts have him there. Simmons 2nd to early 3rd. Mullen has worked his way into the 1st as well on some mocks. Mullen has 1st rd talent, size and speed but I think scouts are going to under value because he has been called for PI more than they would like. That being said, I think those 3 stay. I dont see anyone on the offensive side leaving early.
Now to the main question. Will we lose anyone that wants to transfer due to playing time or depth chart? I could see Overton, Powell, Chase, and then the most likely in my mind Feaster and Shaq Smith, Xavier Kelly. Any thoughts?

Shaq Smith will be a starter next year so don’t see him leaving. I could see Feaster, Overton, and Powell.

Be interesting what Muse and Wallace do. Chad Smith is another to maybe keep an eye on. I think you are spot on with the receivers you mentioned. Especially with Ngata and Ladson coming in.

Kwon not good enough and Muse hasn’t showed he’s disciplined enough to play at the next level.

There's some stuff about Puka Nacua potentially coming in for a visit. WR was done with Ngata so that would lead me to believe that they might be expecting a receiver to transfer.

Lamar may need another season to show the NFL that he can play healthy over time for a better slot, but if any of these guys get high enough grades and they're itching to move on life then I always wish them the best. Would hope that Simmons would stick around for year 4 - we could use his leadership for sure back there, Mullen too. Would be nice for a change to have a deep and badass secondary to help our new starting line come along.
I can definitely see opportunities for the 3 WRs as grads in new programs, and maybe Feast also, though I always love watching him play and hope he goes the distance here. He is sporting the 28 after all, so there's some great moments in him still to show off in DV.
Go Tigers.

Said it better than I could. I could see Feast maybe moving on depending on how spring goes. If Lyn-J shows out and gets stronger in pass pro and pass catch then Feast may see himself dropping to 3 back.

I hope the 3 defensive lineman coming back rub off on some of these other guys. I know they had some “unfinished” business. I hope we don’t have any of that this year.

Wallace and Muse have no reason to leave. They’ll go undrafted. Simmons you have way too high, he may go late rounds and tre will be middle too. They need to stay and get more seasoned. As for chase? Chase Brice? Why would he leave, he loves Clemson and he’ll get a ton more pt next year. Mullen still has work to do as well unless some of them really show out in the championship game. As you mentioned, way too many pi’s. There’s some good corners out there that showed up in the bowls. Measureables all he has going for him. Hasn’t gotten to go up against good talent with our schedule.

Agree Muse and Wallace shouldn't leave. How many time do kids go and not get drafted because of bad info or whatever though? Van Smith just last year. They should stay but wouldn't surprise me if they left. They have higher opinions on themselves than others do. Chase isn't going anywhere.

Yeah, agree don’t see Chase going. After Cuse game, he realizes he’s one play from this being his team. ??
Reminds me of that kid from Texas last night except with a better arm and better at reads. Although I love the way that qb would wait for the hole to open.

Agree on most of this

But think you’re underrating Mullen. He’s been as close as we’ve had to a lockdown corner and has NFL measruables. Plus I think he’s wanting to move on to the NFL so I’m not sure it’s matters what his grade is as long as it’s not surprisingly low.
Simmons and Lamar I think you have pegged dead on. Doubt either of them leave and unless some sort of unknown family situation presents itself I would be shocked if Muse or Wallace left. Both DL are gone as they should be with 1st round money.
As far as transfers I think your most likely would be Feaster, 1-2 WR’s, maybe L Williams because of the CB’s coming in. But all that is my uneducated guesswork.

I think Mullen is gone. Good call on LeAnthony William's. Forgot about him. That says it all to me. He will pushed further down th me depth chart with Booth and Jones coming. Know it wont happen but Hopefully Spiers packs his bag and leaves town.

Think Swanson takes the punting job as soon as he gets on campus just like Potter with kickoffs last year. And we’ll have Spence and Huegel coming off scholarships I believe so we’re still net negative 1 on specialist schollies.

Not uneducated opinion at all. I actually agree more with you about Mullen- guess it’s just my selfishness and wanting him to come back.
I really don’t have time to watch film like I’d love too but I really love to see the guys in the nfl that are great at playing through the ball.

I wonder if the outcome of Monday impacts decision. I can't see them all going, but the thought that 9-11 guys could get drafted from this defense this year is unreal. I could see Powell & TJ leaving, but not Overton. For some reason, I think Feaster will stay

Simmons and Lamar = Physical Phreaks!

They will be high draft choices bank on it!
I think Simmons needs another year at the position before entering NFL waters as he just made the switch this season to LB. Lamar as someone already said, "could play another year and prove he can stay healthy all year"! The injury bug will hurt your stock as much as any other negative aspect!
Mullen is better than I am seeing many people give him credit for being! His height/speed combination alone will ensure he is a high draft pick! But, he plays with sound technique too. I would love to have all the guys eligible to come back next year back! But, living in the real world, I know we will lose many of our outstanding players no matter what after the NCG!
HRT personal opinion - the coaches know/understood this - and is as much as anything why we played so many young players. You could build depth and show them in real game situations what it will take to be successful against top tier talent on the big stage/not just practice. This will pay dividends this coming Monday and next season!
