I think it would be great for football if every year the conferences would play an inter-conference challenge weekend with all the other conferences.Just like we do with the ACC BIG10 weekend in basketball.
In this scenario how you finished in your conference the year before determines who you play in the challenges.
1's play 1's, 2's play 2's on down the line.
If you don't have 14 teams in your conference your last team will play the other's better team.
Only caveat is you play your rival during that week instead of the team that you match up with
It will mean that all your OOC's will be against power 5 schools.
I'm sure there are people on here ready to punch holes in it. But hey...wouldn't it be fun to watch

It leaves all the in-conference games untouched, and makes SOS better and OOC better
