Different culture man! My dad was young military in early 70's, he raised us kids to be obedient and respectful or the hand was heavy.

I think he may have gone over board at times but I guarantee I didn't ever disrespect an adult. Not in school, public, private, on the field or family. I think we have stepped to far away from discipline to the point we see the evolution where kids don't respect teachers, cops or adults. Kids don't understand repercussions any longer.

That has been my song for years now, and IMO, what kids are doing now started when the LAW took parents rights away to raise a child with discipline through parent fear of being jailed. Now they do as they please without fear of repercussion of their direct actions of causing harm to another!!! And because it, I believe that jails and prisons are being filled with kids under the age of 21....

Sounds like a good father to me . Has a very measured tone , doesn't mince words . Obviously very strong in the family aspect .
