Actually, that is a plausible suit. It really depends on what the maintenance was being done in the area and if it was 'reasonable'. It is worth legal review but as far as compensation, well, that is bigger question. The "punitive" might be a bit much but there might be some real item to be made "whole".

I'm coming over to your house to slip on some pine straw

Yep, some people are wired to look for an easy and quick way to earn a dollar. That’s because they’re too lazy to get out and work for it. Sad!

Question. I ruined a pair of shoes at the ACCCG last weekend. Can I sue the Panthers and the city of Charlotte for not having more walkways?

I think she is trying to take advantage of a misstep she took and trying to capitalize from it. It will most likely be thrown out bc of insufficient evidence. If it was a tree limb or something like that laying in the way of getting on the bus, maybe she would have a case, but I don't think she does with pine straw. If she wasn't being filmed while she was walking to the bus, how can she prove she didn't stumble over her own feet and fell, and I'm betting that is what she did. I would also bet that she was over weight if she broke wrist and hip... If I were someone who handles those things, I would check and see if she has ever sued anyone before, for negligence!!!

Because that sure isn't a Clemson fan. It's amazing the lows that people will sink to these days...and the attorneys who are willing to lead the way.

You fell. That sucks. Sorry you broke stuff. Next time don't fall. And please don't visit my house and slip/fall then sue me for it.

How much loss of life is she experiencing? At most, Clemson could reimburse for surgeries. Old people slip and fall all the time.

If the defendant prevails they should be entitled to $ and the “lawyer” representing the women bring this suit should be fined.

This hasn't been blamed on Trump yet?

It had to be Trump's fault! Why isn't this "lawyer" suing the guy responsible for hurricanes, all poverty in the world - and excessive pine needles.
