Next to football, what's our 2nd best sport?

I'm thinking soccer then baseball. Baseball has done really well, but has yet to win it all, despite numerous CWS appearances. Soccer has one 2 Nattys.
I went to every home soccer game, including the NCAA tourney, my freshman year at Clemson and got to watch them win the Natty at home. That - was great! Riggs was PACKED!
Baseball may have more consistent success, but I think in most sports, the ultimate variable is did they win it all. Baseball hasn't gotten over that hump yet. Soccer has.

Men's golf has to be in the discussion as well.
They are a national contender in most years.

in women’s rowing for that same reason. Great Lake, great facility...we seemed to jump out to a nice start and then we slipped.

considering the facility, location and resources we put into it, rowing could have become our elite olympic sport.

Not a team one. The women's team is consistently around 15-25 in the nation

It was women's doubles but still counts as a national championship, right?

As long as our Varsity football team is kickin' ### I'm satisfied. Unbelievable run we've had. In likelihood of the other sports succeeding. I'll take an Omaha win in baseball then hoops. Womens sports are gravy

Depends on the context. Historically, I would say M Soccer.

Two national championships and a tradition of being a premier program. But in terms of Clemson fans’ hearts, I’d say baseball. It also has a great tradition of success and I feel like Clemson fans have more passion and higher expectations (ie, call for the coach’s head faster).

non revenue sport to hang our hat on. Like Arkansas track, Penn State wrestling, OK State men's golf, Stanford volleyball, Southern Cal men's tennis etc.
Men's soccer probably has the most potential to be that for us, but they have too many down years here and there to count as consistently elite.

Basketball. There are only 2 major college sports...football and basketball. Baseball is on the rise though, but it's probably behind women's basketball nationally. Although for me college baseball is ahead of women's basketball. Anyway, my 2nd best college sport is basketball with no close second. There was a time before one and dones when college basketball rivaled college football.
