There are 100’s of young coaches that would bring fresh air. It’s the AD’s job to find one and next season is perfect to start the rebuild. If you even call it that. CBB will go back to a mid major and do a good job.

A coach that is offensive minded and recruit lights out that's what Clemson needs.High scoring offense attracts recruits.Dabo is a very smart man he has an offense that gets the recruits attention while having arguably the best DC in all of college. We need an offensive minded coach.

Continuing to hire a young up and comer from the mid-major level

and hope that he is successful at this level, and wants to stay at Clemson, is asking for a lot. In fact, it’s asking for something that has never happened here.
Why not actually hire someone who has been successful as a head coach in major college basketball?!?

Maybe we should have never hired Dabo and gone for Terry Bowden instead, or even a Lou Holtz, or a Butch Davis, maybe Howard Schnelenberger?

People said the same back then about football. We sucked for a lot of years before we got Dabo. Many people thought we needed an established coach before we decided on Dabo.

The difference is that we were a football school then

and were willing to give the program whatever it needed to be successful.
We aren’t a basketball school, and don’t seem willing to give it what it needs.
A coach like Dabo wouldn’t be successful as our basketball coach.

We were a football school I guess and just hanging on to the past. Kind of like Miami maybe is now. Then we got Dabo. The wrong hire and we may have faded into oblivion, kind of like how Miami likely will now. Going back to basketball though, Brad Steven's first head coaching job was at Butler.

Not sure your memory is accurate. The BOT and President at the time was not supportive. Dabo has a vision and sold it. Dabo is the reason Clemson football is what it is today... nothing about the past.
I have no clue who the next basketball coach should be, what I know is with this coach we are middle of the road. We need a coach with a vision who can recruit.

Let's see who the staff interviews. That's why we have an AD. Maybe Brad is the guy and still will turn the corner, but Clemson isn't a bad job relatively to all the jobs in college basketball. It's a good one.

It’s only a good job if the administration gives the coach what he needs.

Thus far, that hasn’t happened. However, I’m hopeful that the recent improvements under Radakovich is a sign that things will be different now.

We aren’t a bottom dweller in the ACC. Please stop acting like we are.
You do remember that we made the Sweet 16 last year, right?

Boogie McIntyre he is young he loves Clemson and we know how he played and I would think he could recruit and give the boys some fire maybe even Terrance O. on his staff give them a shot
