I'd imagine half of them are on xanax after that Houston loss.

Wait...you "dominated" defensively?

your offense had 35 total yards more than we did.
Defensive battle yes, but "dominate"?
which game were you watching?

It's "dominant." And BC and Syr both had good defenses

BC was 12th in YPG, and Syracuse was 29th. I'm not saying Stoudt played great all year, but it's interesting that just about all the teams he had to start against had top 40-50 defenses, while the ones Watson started or played most of the game against didn't.

He's not comparing what their defense did to what our defense did. The fact of the matter is, UofL played very well defensively in that game (including when Watson was in).

Their fans are much more sane and enthusiastic. I, for one, would actually like a rivalry with Louisville. They are a good program and seem to do things a lot like we do. Don't count out their crowd noise. They probably have the second or third best crowd in the ACC, behind Clemson and maybe FSU.

Some "drunk, crazy fans"

That could be any of a number of teams' fans we play every year. The noise won't bother us, because we don't audible very much, but it will be a good and exciting atmosphere to go ###### a win from them. If they were to win the game it would be a huge surprise. They don't have the talent, nor the depth we have, and though Petrino is a good coach, he isn't a magician. It's Jimmy's and Joe's, not X's and O's that will win this game. We too deep!

Interesting. Good players and teams almost always get their confidence from their talent and execution. Mediocre teams desperately need their fans to be rowdy. It won't help here.

It's just taking care of the business you are trained to perform. Do our jobs, the way we are trained to perform, and the results will be just fine.

I have experienced the fans at Papa Johns Stadium, yeah they drink and love their team but at no time were they jerks. They watch and support their team but were not obnoxious or unruly. Those of you making the trip will enjoy the stadium and atmosphere.

I worry more about us being able to line up & make a 3rd & 1 or the dreaded 4th & 1 than their fans. I hope we can score on big pass plays - we haven't blocked anybody since 1989.

widhorse, you must have been in a coma since 1989 to make that statement. I think our team has done pretty well at blocking and tackling for many years.

Louisville has not played very well defensively and they are now going up against one of the most explosive offenses in the nation. Who cares what the fans do, as long as they don't interfere with the game. If they do, the Tigers will gladly accept an easy forfeit. Clemson, 38-21.
