This will be a great measuring stick for CBB. Can he really make adjustments , coach up some of the younger players and keep us in it? I think it's a 50-50 game at best, but I'd be sorely disappointed if we come unglued like we did in the second half against FSU.

You have pretty unrealistic standards for Brownell.

Do you really think this game against Duke is a fair evaluation of his ability to "make adjustments" and "coach up young players"? It's a game in which we have two days to adjust without our starting point guard, who is a team leader, good scorer, and general game manager. Plus, we are playing #12 Duke.

Besides, Brownell has already proven to develop talent well (K.J. McDaniels, Jaron Blossomgame, Gabe DeVoe, etc.). He has also already proven to adjust well after key losses (we've played great since losing Donte Grantham to season-ending injury).

He will obviously make adjustments - he has said in interviews since the FSU game that we will. But a lot of our success tomorrow will be up to how players execute. If they do, it isn't because Brownell did something magical to drastically improve their skills in two days. And if they don't execute, it doesn't mean that he hasn't coached them well.
