a Mich St defensive player tackles and landed on top of QB Fields. Fields had passed the ball and a penalty was called. Not for roughing the passer (which it clearly wasn’t) but I thought the ref said it was for “landing on the passer.” Fields had the wind knocked out of him and left for one play.
I know the NFL made landing on the QB a penalty as they don’t want to lose a franchise QB to being squashed. But when did that become an NCAA foul? That was Christian Wilkins signature play! Squash em like a bug!
