Nebraska and Frost

Jun 23, 2018, 10:01 PM

Wouldn’t be too surprised to see them rise to prominence again.

Seems to be a bit Dabo-esque.

Their division of the Big 10 is certainly ripe for the picking .
Great history there ... and Frost seems capable .

Come live in Lincoln Nebraska is a tough sell. I guess it works in Norman, so maybe.

Nebraska has maybe 1-2 players worth taking for a nationally relevant team annually though. Oklahoma produces more in state talent and can obviously go into Texas more easily.

I think Frost is a good coach but there are reasons the huskers have offered 499 prospects for 2019.

I've been to Lincoln many times and have a number of friends there. I think it is a terrific town and would be a great place to live.

Do you happen to fit the profile of the usual 4 to 5 star HS football recruit?

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

I'm not sure Nebraska can ever be Tom Osborne Nebraska

Jun 24, 2018, 10:33 AM

again, but there's no reason Nebraska can't be as good as Wisconsin has been.

Agreed

Academic requirements that started with identifying and eliminating the Prop 48 players was the beginning of the end for National Championship caliber Nebraska football.

I dont know if he will get them back to the mid 90s but I could see them contending for the Big10. What he did in Orlando was awesome.. and in a short time too. Best situation Nebraska has been in in a while.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Worst thing Nebraska did was move to the B1G

Yes, it's much more money. But their recruiting geography changed dramatically, as they never really recruited the Midwest that hard. They pulled tons of kids from Florida, and got their share from Texas and California. But they lost games with traditional rivals where you could at least promise a kid he'd play in from of the home folks. But I do think Frost has the charisma needed to see their recruiting take a major jump
