NFL player choice on shoes

So I used to think it was ridiculous to hear about people being fined for not wearing the same shoes as the rest of the team. Perhaps this was just in the NBA, but I thought it extended to the NFL as well. Anywho, I noticed a lot of players wearing different shoes than the rest of the team over the weekend and I gotta say that it was a bit distracting. My eyes went almost immediately to what was different and it took away from the uniformity of it all. I never expected to say this, but different shoes does break from the definition of uniform.

I’d say let the players chose whatever style they want, but they at least have to be the same color as the rest of the team.
