My Official Take From the Weekend

Sep 2, 2018, 2:08 PM

If yesterday's temperature is a sample of what it is like in hades, I'm ready to repent. When I took off my wrist watch, I noticed a white band around my arm.

Unlike most of the fans who were in the stands during the first half, I remained to the happy end. I was beginning to think I had been mysteriously moved to that rat hole in Columbia when I saw all of those empty during the second half.

As an average fan, I'm not too concerned about the final score in a game where the outcome is never in doubt and almost everyone wearing a Tiger uniform has an opportunity to get in for at least one play. And with so many guys rotating in and out it takes about three Philadelphia lawyers and 21 US Senate Pages to keep account of the substitutions. Overall, there was a lot of good and a small amount of "what & why".

I'll not list all of the good or else this would be a much longer epistle and about 23 posters would call my hand. Potter has a leg and I believe he could easily kick a 60 yard field goal. We're in good hands with Potter aboard. The entire freshman class bodes well for our future and the redshirts and others are progressing nicely. Clemson fans should be proud of what Dabo and his staff have accomplished and is currently doing to maintain Clemson's position at the top of the collegiate football world.

We need not put too much emphasis on the "blow out" wins and the near upset losses that occurred over the weekend. This is always a common occurrence. The next three to four games will begin to weed out the imposters and indicate to us those teams who will likely be in the final four.
