Mr OSF got a called from the doc yesterday,

some test on his liver came back a little high, they want to retest him during his next visit.
He says he isn't drinking any alcohol until after the test. JAN 31st really???? he'll never make it.
Meanwhile, I have plenty of beer and wine to enjoy by myself.

that's what I would be saying if it was me. Unless the Doc put the fear of God in me when he toll me the news. I hope that's not what happened wit teh Mr. Even so, some Docs just like to play that card if they have a bias against alcohol. Just the other day I read an obit on a 90-something woman who was said to be religious about a pre-dinner bourbon, which she credited for her long life. I'm going with that, at this moment.

oct of last year. wanted to see me back in a month, haven't been back. I'm still alive. they said I may have hyperthyroid something or other. it can kill you in 25 years or so.

my brother-in-law was a stand up comic for many years. One of my favorite jokes...
Husband comes home from visit to doctor. Says to wife "Honey, I have an issue and the doctors says we cannot have sex for three months."
Wife's reply, "Correction - YOU cannot have sex for three months."
....
