They're both elite at making contested catches, and you could even argue that Mike is a better jump-ball receiver, but Nuk's physicality separates him, imo. He has some of the strongest, most violent hands you'll ever see at the position, which allows him to get separation off the line/at the top of his route.

Both were accomplished basketball players, as well, which helps with body control and leaping, but Nuk's hands are just something else. He wears 3XL gloves, ffs. There's no one like him.

If MW stays healthy he can be a very good receiver. Sometimes it takes a little luck to become one of the best players in the league at any position though. Hopkins fell into a really good position (for him) in that the Texans #1 receiver was retiring and the torch was easily handed off to Hopkins and the entire team recognized him as that #1 threat. Of course Hopkins also proved he was deserving of that position once he got that opportunity. Sometimes really good receivers never get that clear #1 designation even though they probably deserve it. Hopefully MW gets that chance, and the Chargers (or his next team) aren't constantly looking for that "next best receiver"! Injuries can really hurt too, which has hurt Sammy Watkins so far in his opportunities.

He has a HOF QB throwing his way. Still, last night was is 'coming out party' to the NFL. He bullied KC.

Nuk began his career making 'Hall of Shame' QB's look like they were something of value. Now, he has a future HOF QB slinging his way.
