Martavis Bryant looking more foolish every time he opens his mouth.

The NFL is a PR nightmare. A friend or 2 needs to get him under control. His judgment has never been the best.

Didn't he ask for a trade? I mean, when you have Big Ben as a team captain not much moral authority there ... please.

It's very clear his issues extend well beyond smoking pot. Seems you're missing that completely.

I am disappointed that he would speak against another player just because he wants additional targets.
I am worried about him. I hope he does move on and maybe grows up a little in the process.

Well the way he is going he could end up in Cleveland or something even worse. He is hurting himself and burning bridges with these utterances

would love to see him go to the Texans and have Nuk mentor him and have get around the character of Deshaun Watson. He seems fragile and I do not see it ending well. Prayers for him.

Lashed out at someone who tweeted him
Oct 23, 2017, 10:23 AM

Basically said that he's way better than his teammate WR JuJu Smith Schuster and deserves more targets than him.
Deleted the tweet, but once it's on the internet it spreads like wildfire.

It's probably true, not good to say as a team mate but clearly the off season dust up b/w him and his QB has given him few targets.
Org should stand up and give him a fresh start -

only to come back and have Rapelisberger blast him in the media and refuse to throw to him even though he has been getting open all season. The Steelers are just sabotaging him in a contract season. If the Steelers didn't want him, they should have traded or released him before the start of the season

Roethlisberger is locking on to Antonio Brown and holding the ball too long waiting for him to get open, then going to other reads or getting sacked. That is why Pittsburg's passing game is in the sack and they have begun winning with the run game.

I will admit he was wrong to express his frustrations through social media...
Oct 23, 2017, 12:43 PM
|

But he is right to be frustrated. He had zero help from the Steelers when he was working on his personal issues, only to come back and have Roethlisberger (who has been accused of sexual assault twice) blast him in the media for his personal issues . He does everything right to get back, is in unbelievable shape, has been getting open and blocking good. This is more to do with Roethlisberger's animosity towards Bryant

is only getting worse. He continues to throw other receivers on his team under the bus and go on and on about how much better he is. I wish he'd just be humble and do his job. He's acted like a real prick these last couple of years.

I've seen a good number of Steelers games this season and he gets open on a consistent basis and blocks good. Roethlisberger just stares down Antonio Brown, that's why there passing game has been limiting their offense

Leaving early meant less money. Suspension for pot smoking failing multiple drug tests meant less money. Pubicly saying you want out decreases trade value and likelihood team works with you all while alienating your current teammates.
Hope he figures it out.

After everything he has gone through, most of which he brought on himself, he should be mature enough to know that he is going to have top take his medicine and regain the trust of Rothlisburger and his teammates. That is not going to happen the first week or two of training camp or the first half of a season. If he keeps his mouth shut for a year and works hard, he will eventually get back to where he needs to be. Tomlin knows whether he is working hard and he knows whether the lack of production is due to him or Big Ben!

Also, won't the tape show the missed opportunities?
Oct 23, 2017, 1:06 PM

I would think that if/when Tomlin views the tape and sees that there were missed opportunities for NOT throwing to Bryant, won't he say something to RBerger? or is that not an option? just saying.

Guy is a game changing WR running wide open and Big Ben doesn't even look at his side of the field. He just stares down Antonio Brown and forces the ball into double coverage. Bryant needs to be traded to a team that will use him.

Bryant is a millionaire who made his own bed and is now complaining about the quality of the sheets.

He made his own bed...meaning he PICKED the sheets.
And if he wanted to buy new ones, staying with the analogy, he would shut up and play, realizing that when he bought the sheets, he chose poorly.
Now he's facing the consequences of his actions. Who cares if you came back dude? Your team needed you, and NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE, you forsook them.
And now you feel entitled to being upset?
No, not even a little bit.

This year was supposed to be about gaining back the trust
Oct 23, 2017, 3:43 PM
[ in reply to I would be upset too... ] |

of his peers, employer, and organization. Not getting every ball and complaining if you don't. This shows alot about his character and self awareness. He wasn't prepared for his revival. He thinks it should just all go back to normal. Now he's a goat and will be ignored for the rest of the year and probably won't get picked up by anyone bc of his attitude. Ticks me off too.. he had a ton of potential.
He needs to call a team meeting and get real humble and apologize and ask for one more chance and work his butt off to gain that trust back. And expect nothing in return. Otherwise its done.
