Nov 11, 2009, 11:05 AM

We lost out on other targets. 2011 should be a big class

Nov 11, 2009, 11:07 AM

We can add another for this class but missed on our high profile targets.

Clemson could sign 2 more. However, the basketball AHC (Bradley?) said in Columbia in October that OP will only sign one more this recruiting period. OP wants 3 scholarships (or more) available for the next recruiting period. There are 3 seniors on this year's team. OP is looking at 3 top 30 guards for 2011.

Loves me some OP!!!

Talk about building a program. We could not have done better than getting Coach Purnell.

I am not buying the hype that we'll finish 3rd in the league this year - I don't see how our young guys can replace the guys we lost, but I do think we will be no worse than middle of the pack and we should be in contention for another trip to the Big Dance.

The young guys are good, very good

We lost Oglesby, Rivers, and Sykes.

Noel Johnson can shoot lights out too and has more height on defense than TO.

Jennings is very versatile. He can handle the ball, excellent passer, great size so can go downlow to rebound/block shots.

Devin Booker needs to get healthy but he is a huge body down low.

Donte Hill wont get as many minutes because of the guys in front of him but he is a great defender.

Tanner Smith has improved tremendously. He's a lot stronger and his outside shot looks great.

This team should be improved from last year while UNC lost most of their team, Duke is still average. Some teams like FSU have a lot of talent and GT has an outstanding freshmen. It's a tough conference but no one really stands out as the best team imo.

Good think we get a good dunker to replace Oglesby

Nov 11, 2009, 12:04 PM

B/c TO's dunking abilities will certainly be missed!

speaking of dunkers. Check Marcus out.>>>

he caught the ball above the box on the backboard!

Can he shoot over 70% atleast in FT's???...

Nov 11, 2009, 12:54 PM

all those agreesive dunks are nice but can he stand at the line in crunch time and make crucial shots or is he just all show

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

actually late this summer...

Nov 11, 2009, 1:06 PM

prep stars indicated at one of the last events that Marcus improved stock by leading aau team to win with couple key buckets and clutch free throws so hopefully he can do that at next level...

Anybody know if we're recruiting the Stitt kid at Butler HS in Charlotte?

The only one I know of at time is Ricardo Ratliff, a JC post player who has Clemson in final 4 or 5. He is a 4 star and won't decide till spring.
