March Madness>CFB Playoffs

These upsets are why. You don’t get to see this when teams are handpicked.

Sorry but seeing Clemson outscore Bama 30-3 and watching them beat the heck out of Notre Dame, it doesn't get better than that. Then again football blows basketball out of the water any day of the week for me.

WE ACTUALLY OUTSCORED THEM 30-0

I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE SAY 30-3.
WE SCORED THE LAST 30 POINTS.
I GUESS IT'S BECAUSE THE 30-3 WAS THE SCORE FOR THE LAST 3 QUARTERS.

Actually a lot of them are there because they won their conference.

Do You Want An 8 Game Regular Season?

The economics for college football won't work.
It's a completely different sport.
Comparing apples to oranges.

10 game season. All power 5 teams. 6 conference, 4 non conference. Award conference champs by overall record. 8 team playoffs. 5 conference champions and 3 at large. Boom.

That's 56 less playoff games than basketball. Three full rounds - not counting the first 4 playoff games.
You lost your original argument and left out 200 schools.
You look unintelligent!

You’re just another chicken in favor of expanding the CFBP

in the hope that y’all might get in a watered down playoff without going undefeated or losing only one game. Listen coot it doesn’t matter how much you expand the playoff the gamecocks are not winning a national championship in football.

They wouldn’t get in but maybe more of their SEC brethren. It just means more squawking if they can crow vicariously.

True but I don’t think a legitimate playoff system would do anything but enhance the regular season in college football especially if you shortened the season and made teams play nothing but P5 opponents.

Rubbish.
The reason you get upsets in Basketball, and not Football; has nothing to do with the "picking" of the play-off teams, and everything to do with the nature of the game.
Football is a much more complex game, both tactically and strategically. With all components needing to be in place to succeed, that on almost every occasion, the more skilled, the more talented, the more intelligent, the better prepared, the better coached team will win.
Basketball is a very simple game, so a single player, or a handful of players can have a great night and win the game for their team.
