Kyle Stanley and Doc Redman

Jun 29, 2018, 6:34 PM

Don’t want to speak too early for Doc but Kyle is t36 as is Doc. Kyle has finished so he’ll definitely make the cut. Doc has 3 holes left. Hopefully he can add a bird or two coming in... but looking like he’ll make his first cut as a professional. Go get that money Doc!!!

Go Tigers!

Doc made the cut and hopefully will play well over the weekend. Chris Patton did not make the cut in the Senior Open but didn't do too bad considering that he hadn't played in competition for 14 years.

Yeah that’s great news on Doc making it. Hated to see him bogey coming in but he’ll learn. He did have a nice run of three birdies in a row.

Hated that for Chris but he had a lot of big names with him. Can’t believe Seniors playing 7300 yrds. I’d be elated with 19 over on 1 round on that course.

Thanks for the update!

Yeah, the elevation makes it play somewhat shorter, but it's still a long course with brutal rough for a guy who barely plays at all now, much less competively. He should be proud of his 78 today. I'm certainly proud of him.

I thought that was awesome that the USGA approached him about playing in it through Penney. They do screw a lot of stuff up but that was well done getting him back in the arena and giving his family some memories.
