Tennessee wide receiver Jauan Jennings has been dismissed from the Volunteers team, interim head coach Brady Hoke announced on Wednesday night, according to The Zone in Nashville.

Hoke said that through a meeting with athletic director John Currie, the decision was to let Jennings go.

Earlier on Wednesday, Jennings had posted a video on Instagram with him ranting about the current coaching staff and the fact that they have not used him properly. Jenning, who was injured in the opening game against Georgia Tech, was attempting to come back for this Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt.

As a sophomore in 2016, Jennings caught 40 passes for 580 yards and seven touchdowns including the game-winning score on a Hail Mary pass from Joshua Dobbs against Georgia.

I heard part of what he said was that his coaches sucked.

I guess the AD agrees with him which is why Jones got fired. UT has A LOT of talent and might not be able to handle a good highschool team. Kinda ######## for kicking a kid off a team for making true statements. The whole country know's their coaches suck.

He's a teenager on a TERRIBLE team filled with talent. He was promised a bunch of BS by his coaches and they couldn't deliver on any of it. It's not that shocking for him to lash out, particularly after his HC is fired. From what I read he didn't say anything every UT fan, player, and coach wasn't thinking.
