Jamaree Salyer CB for UGA

Anna Hickey put in a CB for Salyer this AM to UGA. I don't know what is going on here lately with our 18 class. We still have a GREAT class but it seems some of the bigger targets left on our board are slowly drifting away.

rep on the site. So this is her job to call and dig up the info every day and if she's confident enough to CB for UGA. it's probably UGA unless something big happens. Shame... I wanted Salyer to be a tiger he's a beast.

So 6 years of 10+ seasons and two straight playoff appearances, 3-1 record in the playoffs is considered a one-hit wonder? Ok.....

I don't know how anyone can conveniently ignore what this staff has done the last few years. Dabo didn't need a single #1 class to beat Bama's multiple #1 classes. A lot of highly rated guys have turned us down over the years and some like McMillan last year got to lose to the team they turned down. This is why I am not sweating what has happened in recruiting lately. The recruits can believe what they want to believe but this staff will coach up the guys who do come and win with them.

Rashan Gary comes to mind. Instead he chose to join a team that got beat by tOSU. The same OSU that got blanked by the National Champs in the Semifinal. Imagine if RG had chose Clemson? He'd already have a NC Ring.

Outside of the last 24 months what has clemson been? Point is Uga is more than capable of winning it all...moreso than most. Hopefully we have the right coach in place to accomplish that. No one thought Dabo would get it done after his first season.
You tigers are seriously underestimating the pull of Sam Pittman. Salyer is Ga born and Ga bred and no one can understand why he might want to play for the home school? Pittman is selling a vision that apparently Robbie can't. It's all good.... Cu will be fine and Kirby gonna Kirby.

Talk about one hit wonders that describes UGA to a T. The only problem is their one hit came in 1980.

Guys, you seriously need to stop with the negativity. Each time we get bad news you need to slam the recruits decision, the team some predicts he is going to, the reasoning behind it, etc. If I was a recruit making a huge decision in my life, the negatively sure would not help direct me in this direction. Let's stay positive, continue to promote the positives of attending Clemson and support the recruits decision. My son is a 2018 and I could not imagine him dealing with all the comments made on here and other social sites.

What is hurting the most is our lack of offensive linemen in the NFL. That is being pointed out by Meyer and other coaches. It's a negative fact but true. These big time players all want to play on Sunday.

You miss the point. We have attracted quality offensive linemen but not the elite level like Alabama. Imagine how much better we could be if a Carmen was at offensive tackle or Salyer at guard. Mitch Hyatt has proven by his play what it means to have an elite offensive tackle. The NFL is these kids dreams. They watch which colleges put players in the pros.

I'm all Tiger but recruiting the best offensive linemen has always been a challenge here. Danny did the best job. Tommy Bowden did a horrible job. I will say that over the last five years the quality of our linemen have improved. Hyatt may well be the best offensive tackle that we have ever had. If he goes pro, who takes his place next year? Elite programs require elite level talent to stay on top. Imagine a Jackson Carmen and a Salyer protecting Trevor Lawrence. Third national title!

It's Carman - with two As.
Who did Danny put in the NFL as offensive linemen?
We ran the option and very few linemen went to the NFL then.

Joe Bostic, Steve Kinney, Jeff Bostic were the main ones. There were several others that had a few "cups of coffee" in the NFL, but they didn't stick for very long.

Curtis Whitley played for awhile and started in the NFL for several years. He played under Ford for 2-3 years.

You can do both. Most good players now are three year kids anyway. We are on the top of the mountain. It takes a lot more to stay there than to get there. Most rivals are saying that we are a one hit wonder even though the last five years prove otherwise. Meyer is saying we can't put linemen in the pros. The national analysts say we lost too much. Prove all of them wrong by going out and making the playoffs again. Actions speak louder than words.

Don't worry. Uga is the king of preseason hype. If they gave out titles at the beginning of the year they would have a helluva lot more than 1 national championship
Let the season play out and we'll see if he's still singing the same tune. Have a feeling Georgia may struggle again this year
