The Coots are over at CockyTalk discussing how their defense is actually better than ours.
They also truly believe they're going to beat us. It's more fun than a year ago. It's twice
as fun to watch them get all built up. They get so excited. And then it all comes crashing down
like Big Dex on Fivehead Bentley.
Speaking of Bentley....you think he'll even finish the game this year???

Their defense bullies teams with offenses that are a half step above Wofford. NC State was the best offense that they played this season and they gave up 450 yards to them and 28 points. They've improved since then, but normally when you get doubled up in yards you lose those games. I fully expect Travis Etienne to look like a man playing with high school kids when he goes up against them.

Yeah, however, in their last 4 games they've played and put up:
Idaho - 658 yards
UConn - 583 yards
Florida - 455 yards
Tennessee - 659 yards
That's an average of 588.75/game against bad competition.
For reference, they have the most points for and against in the SEC LEast.

If their defense was even a 1/10th as good as ours they would be in the top 25 total defenses with all the terrible offenses they play. If we had their schedule our it would be possible for our D to average under 200 yards/game.

From South Carolina. Just another indictment of the fact their fan base does not understand football. Tennessee cannot score, Florida cannot score, Georgia cannot pass, Vanderbilt cannot score, Louisiana Tech cannot score. I mean how dumb can you be? I mean how dumb can you be? Clemson has played much better offenses and have shut them down. On top of that We can score and South Carolina can't run the ball and can barely score. Bentley is nothing special

That game makes me a little nervous. Given time, Bentley can throw the ball and they have some good receivers. Our Secondary scares me a little, especially recently. Hopefully everyone will be back for that game.
It's at night. Their fans and team will be pumped.
I still think Clemson wins, but it will be much closer than anyone wants it to be.

that game. It will indeed be all the sweeter when our D absolutely manhandles their offense while we wear them down and out with the ball all night. Kudos for them finding ways to win the games they have but they've been against one of the worst collection of teams in the sport. Seriously, they have to have the highest number of losses in opponents records they've beaten this year over any other program. And it might not be close.
Night games at SCar are great. Their crowd will be so tore up by the time the game starts that come halftime with them down and the alcohol crash kicking in it will empty out quickly.
Go Tigers! Beat Citadel and stay/get healthy!
