holding scholarships over the kids heads if they visit other schools. Dabo asks guys to visit other schools and make sure they want to be Tigers before committing. Ole Kirby says if you visit other schools even if you are not committed, we'll pull your offer. This needs to be pasted everywhere everyday.

He knows the power of this place. Clemson is probably the single most dangerous visit in the country, in the eyes of opposing coaches.

Owen Pappoe was supposed to visit this weekend but had "transportation issues" and then went to UGA on Sunday.
Similar things happened with Salyer and Justin Fields. Fields not with us but I think Auburn and/or FSU.
Smart is in the win at all costs camp for sure. Last summer one of his DTs got arrested for a felony (I think it was later dropped and was something to do with a bb gun) and when asked about if there would be any discipline all he did was bristle at the reporter.

Ah, makes sense.
I remembered some things coming up with Salyer, but didn't see the updates on Pappoe this weekend. Really is strange to have transportation issues for one school but not another that's an hour away.

It sounds like it's mostly the threat to pull offers from kids who could be considered UGA leans and the unwillingness to try and call him on it. There's been some stuff floating around that the going rate to cancel other visits is about $2500 from UGA, but I like to think that doesn't apply here even if it is just wishful thinking.
He learned from Saban some too. It's all about control. When Julio Jones was in high school Pete Carrol came to visit from USC and drove out to the middle of nowhere where the school was located. School staff saw him before Carrol got the to field and ran Jones inside and locked all the doors so that Carrol couldn't talk to him.
