Well, at least the national discussion has shifted 180 degrees from what it was when he was a lowly WR coach and in incredibly weak hire by Clemson.

"The Philadelphia Eagles have a short list of candidates that they will interview and there are reports out of Philly that Dabo tops the list. There is concern in the organization about going to another college coach but the list of NFL players that Dabo has put in the pro's are almost close to what Nick Saban and Alabama has done. He would be perfect for the city of Philadelphia as he is a blue collar guy who does not make excuses and just gets the job done. If Dabo does leave, maybe Chip Kelly can replace him as Head Coach in Clemson, almost a swap for swap that would work out for both teams. Calls made to the Philadelphia Eagles and Dabo's agent were not returned."

Dabo definitely wouldn't be a fit in Philly, but I don't know too many who would.
I was a Dabo basher as recently as last year and I'm not afraid to admit I was wrong.
He has done an outstanding job and kudos to him for not letting any player be above the
team.
I don't see why he couldn't or wouldn't be a success in the pros, if he ever chose to try
that, but I don't think he is going anywhere for a long time.

The Eagles are a great band. What instruments would he play.

Not sure that would be a good move. Different world in the NFL and not sure his style would fit. Want him to retire in place!

don't think he would be a particularly good fit even if he was interested.
Dabo's success has largely depended on identifying and developing character in his recruits/players and establishing a culture of discipline on the team.
I cannot imagine him operating successfully in an environment where the players are highly paid adult professionals whose character and discipline has long been instilled for better or for worse.
I don't think he would want it, and if he wanted it, I don't think he'd be good at it.

I'm glad he's highly thought of though as he deserves it.
Methinks Dabo would have just enough to play both sides of the ball if he carried his discipline to the NFL.

Obviously, he knows absolutely nothing about the coach of the year. His mission is to turn his players into men, not looking after grown men acting like playas.
