The best coaches in college football prefer to assume control of established programs to win quickly. They are smart to stay away from South Carolina.

I dont think they have much of a choice

Muschamp and Elliot are the only 2 who actually want the job.

South Carolina does not have much choice when searching for coaches. The best coaches prefer to assume established programs to win quickly. South Carolina is not an established program.

Does Elliott remain a member of Muschamp's coaching staff, or will he seek employment elsewhere?

Yes, that would be the kind of stupid........

decision you'd expect them to make. Nobody wants their job so they settle on a guy who was a complete failure in his only other HC job (at Florida). Maybe they dream that Muschamp inherited the ghost of SS while he was at Florida.

This is after all they said what that they wanted a "proven head coach." Muschamp and the Cox deserve each other.

If Muschamp is the best Ray Tanner can do in finding a head coach, the athletic direction at South Carolina should change in the future.
