In 1930, the Southern Conference consisted of:

Alabama Tulane Tennessee Duke Vanderbilt Maryland Florida North Carolina Clemson Georgia Kentucky South Carolina VPI Mississippi A&M Georgia Tech LSU Virginia Sewanee NC State Ole Miss Auburn Washington and Lee VMI
Would be one heck of a football conference, but would take years to rotate through everyone.
Wait, Sewanee? Mississippi A&M?? Washington & Lee lol? RIP deadsolidperfect®
Edit: just realized Mississippi A&M is now Mississippi State.

in that size conference they'd be something on the bottom of your shoe hoping to work up to doormat

I keep saying that the coot administration is very well OK with coot FB being the perennial doormat in whatever FB conference they play in. Good FB programs cost a lot of money to put together, and more to keep and maintain, and they're not having any of it!!!!

an All Girls Preparatory Academy that teaches posture, table setting, and selecting a proper husband. So when you say they played football in 1930, it really diminishes your credibility as a poster.

Ya know, Mississippi "A&M" was explicitly mentioned in the will of Thomas Green Clemson as the college he wanted Clemson's curriculum to be modelled after.

Looks like South Carolina would be the weak link in that lineup.
