Importance of Rivalry Week

I know the importance of rivalry week to our fans, and I hear the coaches and players also impress the importance of the game.

But I'm curious about the true feeling of many of our players since our recruiting geographically expanded over the last 10 years. Just this last cycle we had the top recruit from 6 different states.

So many of our players did not grow up hating SC as most of us have.
What do you think?

No but it just takes 1 game or 1 run in with a USuC fan or player for them to realize the importance of the game. I imagine a few from this recruiting class wants to show a certain DL that is now a Coot that he made a big mistake.
