has to be an exceptional cut of meat to go #1 but I definitely don't want it any more than 3 unless it's a cheap hamburger steak

Beef ain't what it was before stock spent 36 months in a grow lot. Fact, six weeks is long enough to grain feed a beef.
Show me a steak from a grass fed beef raised in a pasture then put up and grain fed six weeks and I'll take #1. Elsewise I'll just cook a pot of beans for protein.

4 is usually what I end up with when I cook them because I suck at it. 5 is going to need a lot of steak sauce but should probably turn into tacos or something.
