.....in front of athletic rabbits ...but it should better sustain moral and performances throughout the season. Not to mention a heck of a ''" thank you "" for your participation this year.

Put it in an escrow account at start of season and distribute the funds after the yearly renewable contractual agreements terms have been met at the end of each full season. If either party defaults on the agreement, pay-out should be prorated to the time of default.

Give them all the same amount.

Otherwise..............

Jealousy.....resentment......cries of favoritism/racism/etc.

Power five schools could all afford to enhanace a "Laundry" stipend to say.....$1000 per month year round for all FB and MENS BB players and student managers. Obviously, I don't know the budgets but look what the coaches make.
Baseball, tennis, soccer, women's BB, etc..............Sorry...Those sports aren't self sustaining.
They are dependent on FB for their existence.

What if there's a shortfall of money? ESPN, FSN, CBS, ABC, ETC. DEPEND on those athletics for their Saturday programming. There's a great big pot of money.

I may be wrong, but that's how I'd do it.

.....I was thinking $1000 at the end of their respective seasons. I guess I'm stricter and a tight with the cash flow. Lol

I have an idea. You get a scholarship which is worth a lot of money. When your college days are over you get to go make money at the pro level if you’re good enough. In the mean time you keep your mouth shut, don’t cause dissension on the team, and accept being an amateur for a few years. Hey it could work???

Clemson Cost of Attendance Stipend is nearly $4000/year

May 28, 2020, 7:56 AM

I wonder how many people are aware that we already provide stipends to players. The NCAA already changed rules that permits unlimited meals too. Many of the pro athletes that comment on TV about paying college athletes never had these benefits and falsely state out-of-date information (like being unable to eat on the weekends) to justify paying college players.
