They won the SECe in 2010 , then Auburn placed the worst loss in SECCG history on them a few weeks later .
That was a marvelous thing to watch .

They won it at Wake Forest if I remember correctly, more coots in uniforms on the sidelines watching than sitting in the stands.

I was born in 70 so I just missed out. It’s been a while since I’ve been in their stadium, is that the only banner they have up or have they added the 2010 SECe with 5th place rings?

The rings are on display in The SCAR Hall of Trophies ... otherwise located between the mens and women's restrooms near the entrance to gate 12 .

I prefer to think of 1969 as the year of the first moon landing, Woodstock, Jets vs Colts, and - my personal favorite back then - the beginning of Sesame Street (in the pre-Elmo days).
Just like man is not likely to go back to the moon any time soon, and there won't be another Woodstock, there will never be another Joe Namath, and there will never be another Sesame Street - there will never be another Gamecock championship. Not for a long, long time.

I was born in 1962. It was Coach Howard's 23rd season and Tigers were 6-4. We lost to Georgia Tech, Georgia, Auburn and Duke. Duke was the ACC Championship. We still beat S. Carolina.

I had my 18th birthday in the fall of 1969. I was a few months away from the honor of being accepted to attend Clemson. Great year!

I was born on November 21, 1967 a Clemson fan with Orange Blood. Thank you Lord!!!
I don't remember that losing season the coots won the acc championship in 1969. It figures if they won only one thing in over 100 years they backed into that. They are the only ones that remember that besides us because we are shocked they could actually win some kind of championship in over 100 years. They are so pathetic that we need another rival they stink up winning so bad!!!
