Everyone was with their parent(s) touring the place. Some car drove by and a guy student hung out the window and yelled, "Bring us your virgins!" The look of some of their faces were priceless.

Seems like that was off a movie, one I'm sure the older folks hadn't seen. I miss those times.

Was that the same thing as freshman orientation? Parents didn't come back then, drinking age was dangerously low. Spent friday night out late downtown, and had to take AP tests all day Saturday. AP in my case meant Advanced Probation. Great weekend! Still remember that feeling of being able to tell everybody I was going to Clemson, even back in 1979

I remember the first week being escorted into a large auditorium. The room was packed. We were told to look around...next year this room will be half empty, and 3 out of 4 of you will not graduate from Clemson. (And they were correct!)

grossed me and a lot of others with his big fat butt sticking out the window. At that time in the middle of the 60's, it was an inthing to do. He was still at Daniel at that time. He went to Citadel, i believe, his Father wanted some discipline instilled in him. He became Pat Conroy's buddy and got in trouble a few times when at Citadel.
