have men on the team capable of filling the void. I think Ngata and Ladson can fill the void without much dropoff, if any at all. They were both highly recruited. In my opinion, the only thing that prevented them from having a freshman year like Mike Williams' or Justyn Ross' freshman years, was playing time. Had they been freshmen in 2018 and Ross not been here, they likely would have done just as well as he or Williams did as freshmen. That's just my feeling.

I have concerns about the offensive line and secondary, but I am hoping the loss of Ross will not be insurmountable.

We are #1 in Athlon and CBS preseason, but I doubt we are #1 in the August AP opening poll with this injury.

I've always been told it's not how you start,but how you finish,so i'd rather not begin the season as no.1,but be there at the end.
