D guys do. If you can put a shoulder into him then you can wrap with your arms and fall on him too which Iwould think it even more painful for the skill guy

Just making the tackle and getting the job done (correctly) doen't make sportscenter. That all it's about these days.

at the horrendous lack of even basic tackling technique shown by many of these highly rated defensive players. Missed kill shots, searching for the ball instead of making the tackle, not getting the head in front on tackles from the side, and don't get me started on the poor DB play of going after a risky interception instead of a sure deflection of the ball that seems to lead to a TD in every freaking game I watch this year.

They are going for the big hit. They want our defensive highlights to be of bone crushing hits and Rb's getting decleated into last weekend.

The only problem is, if you aren't Ben Boulware and you miss hitting the guy, their ball carrier runs past untouched for a first down or a score.

I agree, wrap them up. Dont kill shot them unless you KNOW there are 3 guys right behind you that will gang tackle him if you miss.
