I think he pretty much said what the coaches have been saying...and maybe what they told him to say.

Kinda, not really... He supported the guy that is still their leader coming out of the spring. Nothing wrong with that.

The coaches, if everyone had been listening and reading, have also said he's the guy...right now. They also said that could change... But doing it this early before it's earned would lose the team. They never said "he's the guy for the season, period".

Before the coach started him. Clelin is repeating what all good teammates do - support for the current guy.

If I recall, when Nuk was asked about it, he was like "Well, I had to support my starting QB. Now that he isn't my starting QB, I can say Deshaun gives us a better chance to win." or something like that.
