I feel sorry for Urban

As much as I like to hate on him, how can we be responsible for all of our employees actions. Further do we need to fire someone based on hear say or rumor? Isn’t it the duty of the abused to call and involve law enforcement and let them handle it?

When you get down to the brass tax of it, all the evidence is circumstantial. It’s a text message that says I’m going to tell him from his wife. Did she? We have no way of knowing. Another wife says he talked to Zach and Zach denied it. Is he suppose to do a full out investigation when the cops did not or did that conversation take place at all.
I don’t like him but I am defending him. I think stuff like this has gone to far in the eye of public opinion.
If you want to bring up the title 9 argument then the entire football staff should be fired because according to the accuser they all knew. Meyers head should not be the only one on the chopping block.

Not all circumstantial, there's a series of graphic photos that were sent to Urban's wife and I can't believe she didn't share with her husband, she says in the text that she will tell her husband. But Urban stood up in public and denied he saw them and it's not believable.

That’s the very definition of circumstantial evidence. You have no idea if she did or did not show him.

Regardless of it being circumstantial or not he is bound by federal law (and his wife is as well) and his contract to report the potential abuse. So he either did nothing and violated title ix, or he did report it, it stopped somewhere above him, and then he lied to the public that he ever knew about it. Either way he comes of as the scumbag that most here have suspected for years.

Once again read the texts, one in specific says Urban believes Zach. Hmmm, believes what if not the abuse story? Pictures also speak loudly, seems those were shared too.

The police there were called 9 times by wife and never charged him. I'm sure being and Oh St assistant and Earl Bruce's grandson had "no bearing" on that. I suspect she came out because no one at the university ever tried to help her. Both Urb and Shelley have an obligation to report per their Univ contracts and policy. Neither did. Urbs core values are just words painted on a wall.

Why stop at urban. If all the wives know and you can assume that Shelley told urban that can’t that go for all the other coaches to?

Simple as that. That is what is going to get him in the end, not being “responsible for all of our employees actions”.
The old adage always rings true. The coverup is worse than the crime.

You feel sorry for Urban? Good grief that has to be the stupidist thing I have read lately. You like most do not get that he is not responsible for their actions at all. He is responsible for lying that he knew, he is responsible for bringing it to the University to avoid NCAA penalties and civil actions. He failed badly as he always has in his career when it comes to being even a bit moral and having any character. All one needs to do is look at his recruiting , he could care less if the kid is a murderer, rapist, thief or general thug as long as he can play and help him win. Win at any cost guys are lacking any ability to see balck and white in things, they only see 50 shades of grey.
