I did some research on the University of Kansas University..

and they are a pretty good stepping stone for basketball coaches. A lot like Conference USA or MAC teams in football. Larry Brown coached there before moving on to his real goal, the NBA. And Roy Williams used them as a springboard to land a coveted ACC job.

I’m sure Bill Self has spent many a night, staring at the phone, wondering when it will be his turn.

University to experiment with his new invention [basketball] then once perfected, moved on to bigger and better things like the Olympics.
