Rankings are sometimes way different than ESPN and Rivals? Just looking through the signees list on the Signing Day Central page. TIA

Have you not caught on yet??

Especially where “Clemson” commits are concerned....

“ESECPN will generally have lower rankings because they are committed to “SEC” schools.

It’s bizarre I know....???????

Go Tigers!!!

Need proof?

Justin "Transfer" Fields was #1 in the ESPN rankings.

Trevor Lawrence was #2.

TBH: Fields did have a great showing at the Nike Opening

So, based on that ONE ‘data point’, he was put ahead of TL.

Make of it what you want....

Fields wasn't moved to #1 until after Trevor signed his papers with us. If I recall correctly, TLaw signed a financial aid letter to Clemson or something (not his commitment letter). While signing a financial aid letter is significant and pretty much guarantees a recruit will be committed, it isnt an official commitment.

Only an hour or so after TLaw signed his financial aid papers, the recruiting sites dropped TLaw to #2 and bumped Fields from top 5 to #1.

A friend of mine's son was a 4 star DT by all other services and all of his best offers were on the defensive side of the ball. ESPN had him listed as an offensive guard which he never played in high school.

I'm not a big fan of ESPN but that really isn't true

Guys often move up in their rankings after committing to us, and I'd say ESPN has our guys rated at least as high as the other services do in general.

It’s just their opinion, but remember they had Justin Fields

Rated higher than TL16, so I’d say they aren’t very good at rating players.

24/7 is a composite of all other services***

Ok. A couple of examples are Sheridan Jones and Vonta

Bentley. 24/7 has them way higher than the other 2. There are others like that. They aren’t even on the same range.

Also the coaches and staff rate recruits differently than those sites as well.
