How will Coach Brownell be able to recruit decent players

when everyone thinks he will fired after next season, including potential recruits? It's like what happened to the Coots when SOS talked about retiring. And SOS was a good coach, wth a proven long term record.

He recruits and wins. He has a nucleus for two to three good years.
Blossomgame, Holmes and Djitte are seniors next year. We arguably have equal to better players for two of them the next one or two years.

I think we will see a significant bump once the new facility is up and running. The new practice courts are a lot nicer than what we have now, as are the training facilities. A lot of people complained because they saw little difference in the arena, but most of the money was spent on the amenities for the players.

Djitte, Robertin, Thomas and a bulked up Grantham.
Hopefully Blossomgame, too.
DeVoe is a very good rebounder for a guard.

If Brownell signs 2 very good recruits (4*) in the fall ...

then that should play into the decision whether he should be retained.
It should only take two good years of recruiting in basketball to see a difference on the court.

When a coach doesn't win, his job tends to get tougher.

That's always the case. This is a problem for Brownell I've already pointed out. This cloud will be hanging over him and our team all year unless he wins big.

I am SO glad Martin is NOT our coach.
AND I contend that Clemson would beat UsUc 8 out of 10 times if they played today. Clemson was still gelling when they played earlier in the season. And isn't that the mark of a good coach --- team getting better as the season goes on?
