that'll make me happy for sure. I certainly hope that tomorrow night he has made enough progress to get him into a regular room and we can watch the game. We all have goals, and that's mine as of now.

I'm thinking about writing in the homeless man that sits on the corner every day. He seems to be a better candidate than what we have now.

Actually - I can only stand to listen to one candidate: Carly Fiorina - the ONLY candidate that actually sounds like she actually knows anything.

The one thing that's really bothered me about the race this year (other than the fact that Trump is part of it) is the constant media narrative that there are "no good candidates" out of the massive GOP field. Any other election year, we would be viewing Rubio, Cruz, Walker, Carson, Fiorina, Paul, Bush, and maybe Kasich as some of the better options in recent memory - much better than Romney ever was. The "no good candidates" idea is propping up Bernie Sanders on the left and Trump - whatever the heck he is - while ignoring the facts that both have had the least viable plans I've seen this year.

The Republican Establishment is scared poopless that Trump

Sep 17, 2015, 8:25 AM

will win the nomination and flush their chances in the general election down the toilet. Bush was the only grown up on the stage last night and the only one with any semblance of a reasonable immigration approach. But the base hates him as much as they hate Latinos. Given how Trump has alienated Latinos, and a Republican can't win without 40% of the Latino vote, Trump being the nominee would be a disaster.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And you would vote for...

Sep 17, 2015, 9:12 AM

a doddering old whacko Vermont socialist, or a notorious lying, political hack scoundrel like Hillary Clinton?

If so, you lack the wisdom to evaluate any of the republican candidates, or their stance on ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. Just sayin'.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Sep 17, 2015, 12:21 PM

Chuckston, why do you say the republican base hates Latinos?

badge-donor-05yr.jpgmilitary_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No emotion whatsoever... just objective fact.

Sep 17, 2015, 12:34 PM [ in reply to Typical emotional response reflecting a general lack of ]

And if you really WOULD vote for either of them, if you would put either of them in the most important job on earth, then you are a fool. Your generalization about republicans being anti-Latino identifies you as such. That's idiotic. Grow up.

The definition of awesome!

There aren't many things I'd give up for a Clemson NC

Sep 17, 2015, 10:30 AM

But I wouldn't sleep well at night knowing I let a guy who was for partial birth abortion as an adult become president for a NC. I like that he's not PC, but I could never support anyone who supports that barbaric and disgusting practice. Not even if it meant watching Dabo lift the trophy.

Dabo wouldn't won't it under those conditions. He would rather lift a trophy the hard way, earn it!!!

Thank God Trump will never get over 35% of the republican vote (the most radical tea party contingent that have always supported him) so we don't have to find out

TLDR: I'm college educated so no
